Monash South Africa Exchange
Our global network
Are you interested in studying terrorism’s economic impact with the Centre for Policy Studies (CoPS) at Monash Clayton, or maybe you’d like to study Tuscan art history in Prato, Italy?
Monash South Africa (MSA) has an international network of connections and multiple opportunities to study a part of your degree abroad. Monash University has campuses in Australia and Malaysia; centres in Italy and India, as well as partnerships with over 100 universities in worldwide. With so many options for enriching your study experience, the hard part will be choosing where you want to go.
MSA students’ stories
During Petunia Mpoza’s exchange to Malaysia she gained valuable “insight into another country’s politics, society, economy and culture” and made friends for life. Marika Steenkamp says Monash Clayton “exudes academia” – she found her exchange helped her learn a lot about herself. Kundai Chihambakwe felt completely supported by the Study Abroad Department while in Australia and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. An exchange to regional heart of Victoria helped Terence Eder grow and develop “not only academically but on a personal level”. His exchange was a “truly life changing experience”.
To qualify you must have completed one full year of study at MSA and have a credit average (60 percent or above). While studying overseas on an approved course you will receive credit towards your MSA degree, and in many instances continue paying your MSA tuition fees.
Most students will receive travel grants of at least R15,000 (US$1831).
